FRENCH SAFARI IN THE LOIRE VALLEY

Past the peripherique, beyond the confines of Paris and into the wilds of native France.  Our French Safari will hunt down the best in food, wine and culture the Loire Vally has to offer in 12 hours! Along with our stated goal we will have fun, meet new friends, and maybe learn a few new French phrases. Our expedition will explore the ‘Cradle of French Royalty’ along the beautiful Loire River Valley.

Upon arrival at Saint Pierre des Corps (Tours) railway station, we'll pick up our 9 seated passenger van and head out to the Château du Clos Lucé. There, we'll be met by a local professional tour guide who will take us through the glorious past of this Royal Retreat, and also happens to be the final home of Leonardo da Vinci. After the tour, you can enjoy a stroll through the gardens and observe many of Da Vinci’s inventions in action. Click the button below to get more information on what's on offer at Chateau du Close Lucé,

Château de Chenonceau

Our next stop is the one and only Chenonceau, "The Château of the Ladies". The history of this property dates back to the 11th century. This famous white château, spans over the Cher River, was completed in 1522. Here we will start our visit with a wine tasting accompanied by sweet and savory ‘petits fours’ and local specialties. After the tasting we take 90 mins to explore the castle along with the magnificent grounds and formal gardens. This is a self-guided tour and at your own pace.  Click the button below to get more information about what's on offer at Chateau de Chenonceau, including a map of the grounds.
